Job Description:
We have a number of opportunities for senior technologists at one of our client sites in Baltimore, Maryland. We are looking for mature, seasoned, senior technology professionals who are able to work within a large, mature organization. Candidates must have software or systems engineering background, and be familiar with service oriented architecture (SOA) and/or large scale systems integration principles. The candidate must be familiar with working with developed software, and integrating commercial off-the-shelf software packages. Experience with traditional system / software development life cycles as well as Agile development methodologies is vital. Exposure to and understanding of all aspects or specific aspects of the development life cycle (e.g., engineering, design/development, test/integration) is important. Use of automated design, development, and test tools is also desired.
The candidate must be able to work across all parts of the organization, develop a strategy and plan for the adoption and integration of the new test methodology, and coordinate the implementation with senior management and organizational leaders.
Critical Skills: (Any or all)
Requirements Analysis and Design, data mapping, etc.;
Design Tools (e.g., Rational RSM, ALER, etc.);
DODAF Artifacts development;
Service Oriented Architecture and familiarity with Java implementations;
Familiarity with heterogeneous data environments, data adaptors, and working external content providers;
Architecture experience with distributed systems;
Java development experience;
Various Java Frameworks (e.g., J2EE, JBoss, etc.);
Web services, portals / portlets, SOA integration experience;
Automated test tool experience (planning and execution) at both the user keystroke and interface/WSDL levels;
Test execution;
Test script development; and
Systems / architecture design of large scale distributed systems.
